French Apple Pie


From: Ann Reed
Filling
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
3 T. flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. mace
6 large tart apples, peeled, pared, sliced thin
Mix together, put in 9" unbaked pie crust - dot with 2 T. butter.
Scatter topping thickly over pie
Bake 375°F for 50 min.
Topping
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
Cut together and scatter on top.
