Norwegian Meatballs

From: Great Grandma Inge Peterson
Makes: Lots
3 lbs. ground beef
1 medium white onion (minced)
2 beaten eggs
2 c. bread crumbs
2 T. cream
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. ginger
handful of sage leaves (lots)
2 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
Mix well with hands -refrigerate- mold into balls. Brown in butter, add 1 T water, Bake in oven one hour at 325.
Use drippings from pan, add flour and thicken, add 1 can chicken broth and 1 cup sour cream. Pour over meatballs and bake until warm.
